The CommitmentThe commitment in nurturing a child’s spiritual growth is vital to their future. God has mandated adults to teach children about Him. The responsibility and challenge has been given to us as parents, teachers, and mentors to pass the knowledge and wisdom of the Word on to our legacy. In Psalm 78:4-7 it states, “We will not hide them from their children, showing to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and His strength, and His wonderful works that he hath done. For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children: That thy may set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments”. Every living person was created to be in relationship with Him. So it is important for children to know Him as intimately as an adult. The scripture commands us to be an example before the generations to come by teaching them the goodness of the Lord, about His strength and all the things He has done and continues to do through His Word. This is where their hope in God is established and their relationship with Christ is strengthened.
